Our school was a hive of activity this week as each class took part in Science Week.
Science Week is a week-long event in Ireland each November, celebrating science in our everyday lives.
Junior and Senior Infants had great fun taking part in a range of different experiments.
First and Second class enjoyed some lovely experiments during Science Week.
They worked hard together to make rocket balloons. They used static electricity to make Rice Krispies dance and learned how to help flowers bloom!
Third and Fourth Class spent the week exploring Chemical Reactions, basic physics and took part in a STEM project to design working catapults, parachutes and hot air balloons.
Fifth and Sixth Class explored some Biology learning all about the Digestive System and exploring the function of various parts such as the teeth, oesophagus, stomach, pancreas and small and large intestine.
