For the month of November, Juniors and Seniors explored the topic of The Doctors & Winter.
For our Doctors theme the children were in role play as doctors, nurses, patients and receptionists. They cared and looked after lots of different patients!
The children also constructed their own hospital and doctor surgery, used playdoh mats connected to our theme and made their own x rays in the art station.
For our Winter theme, children studied the topic of the Inuit People. We learned lots of different facts about them, then in our role play we acted like Inuit people, dressed up in our warm coats, fished for food, built igloos for the huskee dogs and relaxed in our tents. The children also enjoyed lots of art – they designed very colourful Winter Woolies, Christmas Jumpers and painted two lovely Winter scene pictures.
To top off finishing our November Aistear the children enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.
