Last week our school was a hive of activity for our annual Active Schools week. Each class made a big effort both in school and at home to get out and be more active.
First and Second class, worked very hard to get their steps up.
And also demonstrated that you do not need good weather to get some exercise done!
Fourth and Fifth Class took some Maths lessons outdoors and did some Maths relays to help them work on their multiplication and division tables.
Third class are taking part in the ‘Run Around Ireland’ challenge. Each lap of the yard that they run is 1km. Their aim is to run to famous tourist landmarks around Ireland. Last week they ran to the Giants Causeway. It is 495km away from Shanagolden. They were a busy bunch indeed!
3rd Class playing 3 in a row.
